eSmart Networks Welcomes Two New Electrical Engineering Graduates

eSmart Networks recently welcomed two new electrical engineering graduates into our Technical Hub, in Belfast. Kathryn McKay and Matthew Donaghy spent their first week learning about all aspects of eSmart Networks, from workshops on civil design to commercial & project management.

David McDonald, Managing Director, eSmart Networks said:

“We are delighted to welcome our second intake to our structured graduate development programme. I benefited from a similar scheme as an Electrical Engineer many years ago! It’s a great opportunity to learn from experienced individuals across eSmart Networks. And most importantly, a brilliant time to be joining the industry, as we look to secure our customers’ power needs across the UK.”

During their first week, our new graduates will work alongside our Grid Consultancy team, gaining insights into grid connections, renewable energy, demand and distribution. Additionally, they will shadow fellow team members to better understand what we do at eSmart Networks.

They’ll participate in capacity studies and connect with the wider eSmart Networks team, getting a firsthand look at the work involved in delivering our customers’ projects.

We look forward to following their progress throughout the programme.
