Simon Gallagher has been appointed to become the new Managing Director of eSmart Networks. eSmart Networks has expanded rapidly over the last 12 months, and Simon will lead the business through the next exciting phases of its growth.

Simon is promoted into the role from his previous position of Technical Director for TriConnex, the leading multi-utility connections provider that is also part of the Nexus Infrastructure group.

eSmart Networks is a leader in the design and delivery of the UK’s Electric Vehicle Charging infrastructure, battery storage solutions and smart grid technologies. Given Simon’s extensive background in the electricity sector, his appointment places eSmart Networks in a great position to build on its current capability and lead the way in the smart energy transformation.

Since its inception eSmart Networks has been under the leadership of David Topping, who is also Managing Director of TriConnex. David’s focus going forward will be to continue building and growing the TriConnex business.

Simon holds an BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering from Queens University Belfast, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Warwick Business School, is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and is a member of the Institute of Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
